Awards recognise outstanding achievements at annual event
Plug-Ins, Al-Futtaim's multi-brand electronics and IT retailer, lauded a unique
long-sustained partnership between the largest Consumer Electronics retailer
and its vendor-suppliers during its annual Supplier and Brands Awards ceremony
- now in its 6th year - at InterContinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City.
The prestigious awards, attended by industry stalwarts from all over the UAE,
recognises outstanding performances and the key role played by Plug-Ins' suppliers
and vendors.
The highlight of the evening was the Best Brand and the Best Supplier awards
which went to LG and Jumbo Electronics respectively. Other major winners include
Logicom for Best New Supplier, Mio for Best New Brand and Dubai Festival City
for Best Support from Mall Management.
Probir Mukherjee, Managing Director, Al-Futtaim Electronics during his speech
at the event said: "Plug-Ins which pioneered the multi-brand consumer electronics
and IT retailing concept in the Middle East more than a decade ago, continues
to be the retailer of choice for its loyal consumer electronics customers who
now, more than ever, need strong assurances they are buying into quality products
and high sales and service standards. These assurances comes from the strength
of the Plug-Ins' sustained training to its multi-lingual, multi-national sales
and service task forces."
Mr. Mukherjee also praised the long-standing relationship between Plug-Ins
and its vendors-suppliers.

through the tremendous support we have received over the years from our suppliers
and the brands we represent. The Supplier and Brands Awards is our way of recognising
the importance we place in this unique partnership," added Mr. Mukherjee.
